The authors and performers Leja Jurišić and Teja Reba, in collaboration with visual artist Petra Veber, test the boundaries of freedom of speech and performing on stage, straightforward and sans hesitation, in front of the eyes of a spectator who is free in their wonderment when they cross the skinny lines inbetween what can and what shouldn't be done on stage. Shouldn't be done in order to make it work. An evidently endlessly effortless (artistic) freedom is right at the point where the thought of one person stops and the thought of the other embarks. Hence it not only brings redemption but also a request for steady participation; Kristeva, Reagan, Monroe, Chanel, Lennon, the unknown and -- you. How does the context affect spectacle and it's reception? Right now the stage is in Finland, in a accustomed culture. The resources: What are the resources for realizing the spectacle? In what frame does the spectacle take place? What is its relationship to money and societal energy? Individual or common discourse: Meanings are formed and received differently depending on whether the spectacle on stage is personal or stellar. That is why I divide art into 2 separate discourses, individual and performance. The question is: how does the intimate mix meanings and how does the performance mix up meanings? My stage is individual. The work consists of 2 parts and proceeds as their anarchic dialogue. This is a proposal for a representation of gender on stage." - S.
